Steps

  1. Fetch robots.txt, the sitemap, and the rendered HTML yourself. budgetSEO does not fetch arbitrary pages.
  2. Check important URLs for an unintended noindex, a canonical that points elsewhere, a redirect chain, a soft 404, and links blocked by robots.
  3. Flag important pages that have no internal links.
  4. Return the URL, the block, and the one change that removes it.
  5. Author bylines and structured data are separate skills. Do not turn this pass into a redesign.

Hold back

  • A claim about indexation you did not check on the live URL.
  • A title rewrite inside this audit.

BudgetSEO data

Keyword, competitor, and domain figures come from the budgetSEO MCP only. Do not use another SEO data source for those three.

Use saved data first. Those reads are free:

research_keywords is a separate paid AI run for idea generation on Starter and Pro. It is not the tool for a single lookup.

Crawl checks, robots.txt, sitemaps, and primary-source fact checks are your own work. budgetSEO cannot fetch an arbitrary page.
